Welcome to Year 6!

Our classes are named after the famous astronauts Helen Sharman and Bernard Harris.

Our curriculum is full of many exciting topics. To name just a few, we will:

Be looking at the circulatory and digestive system in Science.
Learn about rivers in Geography.
Make a papier mache model to represent rivers and the water cycle.
Look at how Britain was rebuilt after World War 2, including the Windrush generation.

Throughout the year, we will read a range of books and poems to inspire our writing and encourage our reading for pleasure. We will be reading Kensuke’s Kingdom and The Arrival in the first half term, followed by A Christmas Carol and All Aboard the Empire Windrush in the second half term.
