School Uniform

Taking pride in our appearance

Our school uniform consists of the following:

Girls

• Bottle Green jumper, cardigan or sweatshirt
• Green/White polo shirt
• Grey or black trousers, skirt, pinafore or summer dress
• Plain tights in school colours (green, black, grey or white)
• Plain hijab in school colours (green, black, grey or white)
• Waterproof outdoor shoes – black
• Waterproof coat
• Outdoor weatherproof shoes

Boys

• Grey or black trousers
• Green/White polo shirt
• Bottle Green jumper or sweatshirt
• Black, grey or white socks
• Waterproof outdoor shoes – black
• Waterproof coat
• Outdoor weatherproof shoes

 

We are an OPAL school and as such our children spend as much of their free time outside, as possible, including when it rains.
Children will need a waterproof coat clearly labelled with their name and suitable, waterproof outdoor shoes.

All uniform needs to be appropriate for the weather conditions.

PE Kit

All children should have:

• A pair of black plimsolls/trainers that fit comfortably – slip on variety for the Early  Years and Key Stage 1 and either slip on or lace-up for Key Stage 2.
• A plain coloured t-shirt, in the school colours or St Mark’s Primary School t-shirt.
• Plain black shorts.
• A plain tracksuit, in the school colours, may be worn during cold weather.

Children will be informed which day their PE lesson is on and will be required to come to school dressed in their PE kit. 

Children in Year 5 who have swimming lessons each week will be required to bring a one-piece bathing costume/trunks, a swimming hat and a towel.

Jewellery & Accessories

For health and safety reasons children are not allowed to wear any jewellery to school, other than the following: 

• One pair of stud earrings may be worn (no hoops).
• Sikh Kara bangle/bracelet.

Any child with hair longer than shoulder length will need to tie it back with a plain hair band. Make-up and nail varnish should not be worn at school.
