St Mark’s Vision and Values 

St Mark’s vision is to be a school where children thrive and love to be, where the best staff develop their careers and is the pride of our community.

 

At St Mark’s Primary School, our CARE values—Community, Achievement, Respect and Empathy— are at the heart of everything we do. They shape our relationships, guide our learning and underpin our ambition for every child.

Community: We value our inclusive school community and embrace the diversity that our children and their families bring. We nurture a sense of belonging, working together to ensure everyone feels welcomed, valued and supported.

Achievement: We strive to challenge and motivate every child to make strong academic progress and become a confident, resilient lifelong learner. Our broad, balanced and accessible curriculum provides stimulating, high-quality learning experiences for all. Teachers and support staff have high expectations of themselves and the children they teach, encouraging everyone to aim high and take pride in their progress.

Respect: We help children develop respect for themselves, others and their environment. We celebrate differences and support children to make positive, thoughtful choices both in school and beyond.

Empathy: We encourage children to understand others’ feelings and perspectives and respond with kindness and compassion. Through caring relationships, we help them recognise how their words and actions affect those around them.
