Teaching RE at St Mark’s

At St. Mark’s we believe that Religious Education is an essential element of the curriculum that contributes to the personal and intellectual development of children. Offering  pupils the opportunity to explore searching questions that are of profound importance to human experience, this subject connects with our curriculum theme, Who are we?   We teach RE in Years 1-6 using the Ealing Agreed Syllabus  for Religious Education and each year pupils visit a different local place of worship building up a depth of understanding and experience.  This scheme offers a rich curriculum which reflects the high level of religious and ethnic diversity in our locality. In the EYFS pupils learn through adult-led activities and through a range of cross curricular activities in their continuous provision.  All pupils will develop the skills to help them find out about and articulate their understanding of a range of religions and worldviews.
