Welcome to Key Stage 2
All you need to know about life in Year 3 through to Year 6.
Key Stage 2 is the term for the four years of schooling known as Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6, when pupils are aged between 7 and 11.
The children in KS2 will be following the National Curriculum which was rewritten in 2014 with an aim to raise standards. The overall purpose is to produce productive, creative and well educated students. In the final year of Key Stage 2 (Year 6) the children will complete tests called SATs, these take place in May.
During each year the children will have the opportunity to take part in many extracurricular activities and go on educational visits in order to support and enrich the curriculum. Please see individual class pages for details of these. We always need parents to help accompany the children on visits so please indicate if you are able to help when letters are sent home.
If you have any queries or concerns, please speak with your child’s teacher in the first instance. We thank you in advance for your support.
